Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced the roll out of a new curriculum for teachers ahead of Grade Five pupils return to school. TSC Director of Quality Assurance Reuben Nthamburi confirmed that the training would run concurrently with the current school calendar. This comes barely two days after Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, on Friday, October 30, advanced their talks over the mass reopening of schools. Officials from the Health Ministry gave a green light for the reopening of schools based on new data after cancelling an earlier reopening plan presented by the Education Ministry. The Ministry is worried that the delayed mass reopening of schools will affect the transitioning of students especially for Grade 5 and Form 1 students under the CBC.
