KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) will implement zero per cent of Goods and Services Tax (GST) on all electricity usage beginning Friday. TNB in a statement today said the move is in line with the zero-rated GST implementation on June 1. “For the electricity bill of May/June 2018, the GST charge will be prorated,” the statement said. On May 16, the Finance Ministry announced that the change on GST rate from 6 per cent to zero will take place nationwide and remain so until further notice.
