On Monday, East Midnapore police said prima facie “people linked to the BJP and RSS” had carried out the attack. “Such an attack during the Christian festive season has never happened in Bengal. Please don’t bring politics to an act committed by anti-socials.”A mob chanting “Jai Sri Ram” slogans had attacked the community hall and planted saffron flags with “Om” inscribed on them at the community hall.
