Transparency International (TI) has called for an effective criminal justice system all over the world amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis. The webinar on the ‘Impact of COVID-19 on Criminal Justice Institutions’ was organised by the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC). Speaking at the forum, the Executive Director of CISLAC, Auwal Rafsanjani, emphasised the importance of strengthening the criminal justice institutions, especially at a time of increased criminality. The coordinator, Criminal Justice (CRIMJUST project of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Glen Prichard, at the event, noted that it could be a platform to reflect on strengthening criminal justice institutions. The speakers agreed on the importance of having strong and effective criminal justice institutions, especially at a pandemic era.
