Over the past year, it has become abundantly clear Donald Trump doesn’t know how to speak. But truth be told, as much as Donald Trump doesn’t know how to speak, Democrats don’t know how to listen. It’s not that Americans don’t care about or even admire immigrants. It’s why reasonable people in purple districts found common cause with white nationalists and elected Donald Trump. We need to figure out how to slow inflation and create good-paying jobs so that Americans can afford a comfortable life.
