TD apologises and pleads guilty to public order offenceCORK EAST TD Pat Buckley has issued an apology after pleading guilty to a public order offence. At Midleton District Court on Thursday, the Midleton-based Sinn Féin TD pleaded guilty to a charge of being drunk and using threatening and abusive behaviour to gardaí. Yesterday, he issued a formal apology regarding the two charges under the Public Order Act. In a statement, Mr Buckley said: “This was a family event, a celebratory affair involving a few drinks in my own home. Mr Buckley is a first-term TD and former member of Cork County Council.
