TCU DT Blacklock declares for NFL draft

TCU junior defensive tackle Ross Blacklock declared for the NFL draft on Friday, announcing his decision on social media. Among the many people he thanked were Horned Frogs head coach Gary Patterson and defensive line coach Zarnell Fitch. “A wise man once told me, “follow your heart, and you’ll never go wrong,” Blacklock wrote. “Playing in the NFL has always been a dream of mine since I was 5 years old.”A first-team All-Big 12 selection in 2019, Blacklock totaled 40 tackles (nine for loss) and 3.5 sacks in 12 games this season. Blacklock started all 12 games in 2017 as a redshirt freshman, collecting 27 tackles (6.5 for loss) and 2.0 sacks en route to sharing Big 12 defensive freshman of the year honors with Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray.
