Health officials will hold a public meeting in Kawhia after a recent case of tuberculosis (TB) in the Waikato township. Medical Officer of Health Dr Richard Hoskins will co-host a meeting at the Kawhia Community Hall on Wednesday at 5.30pm following a diagnosed case of TB in June. "There's been one case diagnosed back in June and we're doing our thing which is tracing the close contacts and managing those." Hoskins said TB covered a range of infections, not all of which were of public concern.
