TATA Consultancy Services (TCS) and Qualcomm yesterday both announced significant new Irish investments supporting nearly 2,000 jobs in Donegal and Cork. Prudential will retain ownership of Pramerica Ireland, which will continue to operate from Letterkenny, providing business services to Prudential Global Investment Management. According to the most recent statistics by IDA Ireland, more than 30 Indian companies have invested in Ireland, supporting 2,500 jobs. Ajay Bawale, VP of engineering at Qualcomm Technologies, said: “We are excited about the new workplace in Penrose Dock. “Qualcomm’s new research & development centre in Cork will operate on the cutting edge of technological innovation in Ireland,” said CEO of IDA Ireland, Martin Shanahan.
