T Natarajan’s upward journey in the Indian cricket team continues. After putting in a magnificent performance in IPL 2020 for Sunrisers Hyderabad, T Natarajan was fast-tracked into the Indian cricket team and he made his ODI and T20I debut against Australia in Canberra. However, with Umesh Yadav now been ruled out of the Sydney and Brisbane Tests after suffering a left calf muscle strain, T Natarajan has now been added to the Indian cricket team Test squad for the remaining two matches. Ahead of the Boxing Day Test, Shardul Thakur was added to the Test squad as Mohd. Rohit Sharma rejoined the Indian cricket team in Melbourne after completing his 14-day quarantine in Australia having arrived in the country on December 16.
