Türkiye’s Tosyali International Company and Libya’s United Libya Steel Company (SULB) signed a joint agreement in Istanbul to invest in an iron and steel factory in Benghazi. This deal, between Türkiye’s Tosyali International Company and Libya’s United Libya Steel Company (SULB), includes direct reduced iron (DRI) and hot cast iron (HBI) plants. The agreement, structured under the Libyan Investment Law, establishes a joint venture dedicated to the iron and steel industry. Largest iron, steel production plant globallyThis strategic partnership is set to become one of Libya’s largest industrial projects. With a production capacity of 8.1 million tons per year, it will be the world’s largest iron and steel production plant.
