SHAH ALAM: A Syrian trader selling 'mandy and casbah rice' at the Section 13 Ramadan bazaar here was given a warning for failing to display the prices of his food items. The foreigner was among six issued warnings in an operation carried out by the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) which started at 6pm today. "This is a first (warning issued to a foreigner) and this matter will be brought to the attention of MBSA," he said when met by reporters during the operation, earlier. As of yesterday, we issued 52 warnings to traders who failed to display prices," he said. Commenting further, he said of some 2,000 complaints received by the ministry, only 17 were about price hikes and confusing display of prices.
