Synlait and A2 announce supply agreement for infant formulaThe Synlait dairy factory in Canterbury. Synlait Milk and the a2 Milk Company (a2MC) have signed a new supply agreement for the production of a2 Platinum infant formula. Although current production volumes remain the same, the agreement will allow the companies to ramp up production if demand increases. The two companies started working in 2010 to manufacture the world's first infant formula made from a2 milk. The new supply agreement is for a minimum term of five years, and provides for a rolling three-year term after the first two-year period.
