Syndicate’s ingenious drug-peddling ways exposed - Nation

KUALA LUMPUR: A drug syndicate tried an ingenious way to smuggle ecstasy drugs by packing them into powdered tea and coffee packets but failed. The packets, which contained the powdered drug, was sold between RM200 and RM250 each. However, the gang’s operation was busted by the police who had been watching them for a month. City Narcotics Crime Investigation Department chief Asst Comm Guan Beng Kang said the drug gang’s activities unravelled when a 27-year-old man was arrested in Taman Maluri. The team detained his 24-year-old wife who is a Vietnamese woman, along with another Vietnamese woman, 42, and a married couple aged 43 and 34, who are locals.
