Shah was assigned to NIH on March 4The government on Wednesday again transferred Dr Syed Tauqir Hussain Shah, a grade-21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, to the Establishment Division with immediate effect. The senior bureaucrat was posted as Additional Secretary (Incharge), National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division on March 4, after being earlier assigned as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Establishment Division. The NIH, headed by Dr Zafar Mirza, is responsible for national public health. The accomplished bureaucrat has also had a stint as the deputy secretary to the chief minister of Punjab. Shah entered the country’s bureaucracy in 1990 and secured a place in the competitive District Management Group (DMG).
