— The Sydney Major Sooners lost their first three games at the Canadian Little League Championship over the weekend. On Sunday, Liam MacLeod, Parker Spencer, and Andrew MacIntyre each had a single hit for the Sooners in the loss. Meanwhile, on Saturday, the Sooners trailed Ontario 5-4 in the fourth inning before Ontario scored two in the bottom of the fifth inning on their way to the win. Kendall had a double and a single, while Spencer MacIntyre, Jamie Morrison, Avery Johnston, and Breslin Marshall each recorded a single for Sydney. On Friday, the Sooners led 7-6 in the seventh inning before the Prairies scored twice in the bottom half of the inning to walk off with the victory.
