The Swiss delegation also held an exchange with the inter-agency committee of the government of Bangladesh at the Ministry of Commerce. The economic relations between Switzerland and Bangladesh are growing rapidly. Earlier on Mar 31, a five-member Swiss delegation arrived in Dhaka from Bern to take part in the consultations. During their stay in Bangladesh, the Swiss delegation travelled to the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar on April 1 to obtain a first-hand impression about the ongoing humanitarian crisis. Under its current cooperation strategy, Switzerland is providing development assistance to Bangladesh in key areas such as income and economic development, democratic governance and safer migration.
