However, statistics show a steep rise in the spread of viral fever in the city in August. Most of the cases can be attributed to common cough, common cold and fever viral, followed by patients having dengue fever, although the number is significantly less than the previous year. Areas which have seen an increase in the number of dengue cases include Byculla, Worli, Jogeshwari, Juhu Koliwada, Goregaon, Kurla, Bhandup and Kanjurmarg.
