Ajax swimming coach Matthew Bell has pleaded guilty to sexually exploiting a teenage girl he met through the sport. Bell, 35, entered the plea on Aug. 19 in Oshawa, admitting he’d had sexual contact and exchanged thousands of sexually charged texts with the girl in 2010 and 2011, when she was 16 and he was 30. Bell pleaded guilty to two of the six charges he faced. The identity of the victim is protected by a publication ban. The relationship quickly escalated to sexting and phone sex, with Bell requesting nude photos and having the girl act out sexual scenarios, Boodoosingh said.
