Okumu said “It is fun swimming and am glad that I have set a meet record and will be representing Nairobi during the Nationals.”Second overall in the category that was taken by girls aged between 14-15 was Ruchti Lucia of Otters who timed 2:43.14 followed by Seahorse’s Ambala Ahura. The girls’ 100 meter race for those aged between 8-9 years was won by Smith Gina who recorded a time of 1:53.56, followed by Frantz Nyah who timed 1:55.98 as Macrine Kalombo clocked 1:56. The 800 Meter Freestyle category for Girl’s aged between 12-13 years was won by Rachael Neema who timed 13:08.15 followed by Dhanjal Khusi of GEMS who clocked 13:39.96 as Ayugi Ericka of Karen School clocked 16:10.74 to finish third overall.
