Swift Current, Sask., mayor shocked Graham James granted full parole

The current mayor of Swift Current, Sask., hopes the outrage felt by some people about Graham James being given full parole will motivate them to do what they can to help victims of sexual assault. James was a serving a seven-year sentence for sexually assaulting young players he coached in Swift Current in the 1990s. On Thursday morning, the convicted sex offender was granted full parole. In its decision, the parole board told James he has "made observable and measurable progress during your period of day parole." Graham James, as seen arriving at a Winnipeg court in 2012,has been on day parole and living in a halfway house in the Montreal area since January.
