Kenny Hofsteede of Egmont Honey, accepts the silver award the company won for its product packaging, at the Apiculture New Zealand national honey competition. Taranaki honey companies were named among the country's sweetest in the recent Apiculture New Zealand National Honey Competition. Raul Mateas-Orban, of Tarata Honey, won a gold medal in the medium creamed honey class, while Egmont Honey was awarded gold for its medium liquid or clear honey, and a silver for its product packaging. Supplied Bryce Herbert of Tangarakau Gold Ltd won a bronze award for his floral manuka honey in the recent Apiculture New Zealand National Honey Competition.
