JOHOR BARU: A sugar warehouse in Batu Pahat's Sri Gading Industrial Area was raided by the Johor Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) last Thursday (Oct 31) for storing sugar exceeding the allowed limit. The investigation revealed that the warehouse was storing an excess of 1,000 metric tonnes of sugar worth RM2.45mil. The raid was conducted after a week of surveillance on the warehouse that had a license to store 2,000 metric tonnes of sugar. "The warehouse had been operating for the past 10 years and had a license to store 2,000 metric tonnes of sugar. "However, we have found an additional 1,000 metric tonnes of sugar stored.
