Swedish Ambassador to Bangladesh Johan Frisell made a farewell call to Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, on Sunday before the end of his tenure. During their meeting the Swedish ambassador said he was grateful to the minister for his continued support during his tenure in Bangladesh. Frisell also praised the government’s efforts to ensure the safety of foreign nationals after the Gulshan terror attack. He also commended the foreign minister for his efforts to create a dynamic relationship between the two countries that resulted in Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s recent visit to Sweden in June. The foreign minister told the ambassador that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greatly values the friendship with Sweden and the Nordic countries and hopes to further strengthen that relationship.
