lone accused +hacked to death +CHENNAI: P Ramkumar , thein the murder of Infosys techie S Swathi , allegedly committed suicide in the Puzhal Central Prison here on Sunday.Ramkumar committed suicide by biting a livewire used in a junction box inside the prison, sources said.Prison wardens searched for him when he failed to turn up for lunch even after 4pm. They found him lying unconscious near the junction box.He was rushed to Royapettah Government Hospital where he was declared brought dead.Swathi waswhile she was waiting for a suburban train at Nungambakkam railway station here on June 24.A week after the murder, police arrested Ramkumar from his native village in Tirunelveli district on July 1. He attempted suicide by slitting his neck with a blade while police went to his native village to nab him.Talking to reporters in Tirunelveli on Sunday, Ramkumar's father Paramasivam alleged that there was a foul play in the death of his son. He said, "Police killed my son."
