BJP MP Subramanian Swamy on Saturday slammed DMK MLAs for resorting to violence in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, on a day when Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami - of the AIADMK - won the vote of confidence in the first floor test in the House in about 30 years. Swamy told India Today that the "the DMK lived true to its character, which is violence." He added that the vote in favour of Palaniswami was "well-deserved," and expressed hope that the Tamil Nadu CM could provide a stable government. "He fell into that, he met the DMK leaders too - and that word got around. And he cannot, after taking the help of the DMK, talk about Jayalalithaa - because Jayalalithaa was humiliated, her sari was pulled while she was in the Assembly and the DMK was in power," Swamy said.
