A garage fire in Invercargill is being treated as an arson. Fire investigators are investigating the cause of a fire in a residential garage on Wednesday night. A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson said they were called to a garage which was on fire on Fulton St, Gladstone at 9.06pm. The fire had been deemed as suspicious and the cause of the blaze would be investigated on Thursday morning, he said. Police said a 52-year-old-man was taken into custody and charged with disorderly behaviour, not anything specifically in relation to the fire.
