Firefighters were called to the blaze shortly before midnight. An abandoned home has been destroyed in a suspicious fire in Christchurch overnight. Firefighters found a single-storey home, believed to be abandoned, “well-involved” the spokesman said. The fire, believed to be suspicious, was fully extinguished about three hours later. A fire investigator was at the scene on Monday morning working with police to determine its cause.
