On January 19, ACC Director Sheikh Mohammad Fanafillah submitted the charge sheet against Mizanur Rahman and Enamul Basir to the Dhaka Senior Special Judge's court. According to an ACC inquiry, Basir took Tk40 lakh from the police official Mizan to exclude the latter's name from a charge sheet of a graft case. On July 21, suspended DIG Mizan, who was sent to jail by the High Court earlier, was shown arrested in the case. Basir was removed from his office and replaced by ACC Director Md Monzur Morshed after the allegations surfaced.
