Crime & Punishment of Thursday, 12 February 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comOperations at the Bibiani offices of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) and the Audit Service have been disrupted following a suspected burglary that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Unknown individuals reportedly forced their way into the premises and carted away several items, including computers, printers, ceiling fans, air conditioners, and a public address system. Thieves raid NCCE, CHRAJ offices, steal computers and air conditionersOpara noted that inadequate security and poor lighting within the office compound have made the facility vulnerable to criminal activities. Residents have also voiced concerns over the recurring incidents, warning that continued attacks on public offices could undermine service delivery and erode public confidence. The Ghana Police Service is yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
