A 58-year-old man, already facing a slew of charges in connection with cash being stolen from several mosques in the GTA, is facing more charges after Peel Regional Police say someone tried to break into a Mississauga mosque and get into the donation box. An arrest was made in the case Thursday night , according to Peel Regional Police. The latest incident occurred March 14 at the Masjid Rahmatul-Lil-Alameen Mosque at 205 North Service Road. Police were advised that at around 10:30 p.m., “a loud bang and noises” were heard coming from the main floor of the mosque. Police investigated and noticed that an unsucessful attempt was made to pry open a door in order to gain access to a donation box.
