The deceased is Shahid Hossain alias Kana Shahid, 45. As soon as the patrol team arrived, the robbers opened fire at them, forcing RAB members to fire back in self-defence. Later, they found Shahid’s bullet-ridden body on the spot and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, he added. RAB also recovered two pistols, two guns, 21 cartridges, and seven bullets from the spot, he concluded.
