A day after a 16-year-old was shot dead allegedly by militants, a cable operator was shot at by suspected militants in south Kashmir's Shopian district. A police official told India today that Hilal Ahmad Malik, resident of Malik Mohalla, Shopian was shot at by the gunmen near his residence around 8:05 pm. Jammu and Kashmir Police later issued a statement that the men who shot at Malik have been identified. "Police on the basis of human and technical intelligence identified the terrorists who killed the cable network owner Hilal Ahmad Malik this evening. The terrorists involved in the attack on cable network owner are Zubair Ahmad Turray son of Bashir Ahmad Turray resident of Bonbazar, Shopian and Umar Nazir Malik alias Khattab son of Nazir Ahmad Malik resident of Malikgund, Shopian.
