Rujira Eiumlamai, 38, was caught at the plantation in Ban Chaing Thong and was sent back to Phichit Police to face charges. Police said that Amaury claimed during hours of questioning that he was not involved in the murder of Rujira’s ex-husband, Giuseppe de Stefani, 61. He allegedly told officers that Rujira and her Thai ex-boyfriend had killed de Stefani and he had simply helped Rujira escape. Phichit Court had issued arrest warrants for Rujira and Amaury for allegedly murdering and burning the body of de Stefani in Phichit’s Bung Narang district. The remains of the body were found in a wooded area near Bung Thab Chan pond in Tambon Laemran on January 19.
