The deceased identified as Monirul Islam Babul, son of late Maidul Islam was from the Birganj Upazilla of the Dinajpur district. Members of the law enforcement agency apprehended suspected drug trader Monirul Islam Babul and recovered 112 bottles of Phensedyl from the Fakirganj boarder area on Tuesday night, according to the BGB Commander. Upon realizing the presence of police, Babul’s associate drug traders, lurking there, opened fired at them; in retaliation BGB fired back. His body has been sent to Thakurgaon for autopsy, according to a statement by the Pirganj Police station.
