SAN PEDRO CITY — An suspected drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Biñan City in Laguna province on Monday morning. Eleazar Matta, in a text message, said the suspect Adan Abarkis was included in the intelligence police’s watchlist for drug personalities. He said after the sting operation, Abarkis drew a gun and engaged law enforcers in a shootout. An earlier incident in the village involved Abarkis allegedly threatening a village official over meddling in his illegal drug activities, police said. Police recovered a .38 caliber gun and four sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) from the suspect.
