Suspected drug peddler killed in Rajshahi ‘gunfight’

The deceased is Alamin, son of Mohonlal of Harpur of Kashiadanga Police Station of Rajshahi. Golam Ruhul Kuddus, the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, said police conducted an anti-narcotics drive at Dam 5 of Padma River around 3:30am on Tuesday. ADC Golam said Alamin drowned while fleeing. Three policemen were also injured during the “gunfight.” They were given primary treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
