Gautam said: “On a tip off, a team of Santhia police station conducted a raid at Khayerbagan area around 2 am on Saturday to catch a gang of drug dealers. Realizing police presence, the drug dealers opened fire on us, forcing police to fire back. At one point, the drug dealers fled and police recovered one injured drug dealer named Kalu from the scene. Gautam Kumar Biswas also said Santhia police station Sub inspector Feroz Sultan and constable Shuvo sustained bullet injuries during the gunfight.
