The gunfight occurred at Darbeshpur area in Sadar upazila around 4am on Friday, in-charge of Baradi police camp Sub-Inspector (SI) Abbas Ali confirmed. The SI said: "Hearing sounds of gunshots, a team of police went to the spot and found a bullet-ridden Ismail on the ground. "He was taken to Meherpur General Hospital, where duty doctors declared him dead," he said. Police also recovered two bullets, two cartridges and some locally made weapons from the spot.
