On Thursday, three of four suspected terrorists arrested at Nakumatt supermarket's Malindi branch were also released. Fathiya Ahmed was arrested by anti-terror police on Monday for allegedly being a member of the al Shabaab group. A Mombasa court on Friday released a woman arrested on terror charges for lack of evidence. Sultan Ali Sultan, Shamir Shansa and Masud Sultan were freed after police failed to prefer charges against them. Civil society groups are demanding the establishment of a judicial inquiry to investigate all reported cases of extrajudicial killings in the country.
