The man suspected with carrying out the largest attack on the city subway system in years was caught yesterday thanks to a visit to the McDonald’s on First Avenue in the East Village. Frank R. James, who law enforcement officials suspect of shooting at least ten people in a Brooklyn subway station, was arrested in the morning. Published reports indicate that police received a tip from a customer in the McDonald’s who recognized James. Puebla said he flagged down an NYPD cruiser that just stopped at the light on the SE corner of First Avenue and Seventh Street. The 62-year-old is charged with having committed a terrorist act on a mass transit system, according to the New York Times.
