NewsAn individual who tried to bribe the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Beruwala Police has been arrested. Police Media Unit stated the suspect had attempted to give a bribe of Rs.25, 000 to the OIC in exchange for releasing a van that had been produced before court. The suspect was arrested last afternoon along with the money that he was trying to give to the OIC. The 35-year-old suspect is a resident of Beruwala. He is due to be produced before the Kalutara Magistrate's Court today.
