Suspect who allegedly groped 7-year-old girl on SkyTrain turns himself in

Metro Vancouver Transit Police say a suspect wanted for allegedly groping a seven-year-old girl has turned himself and is potentially facing a charge of sexual interference. The 57-year-old man, who is from Burnaby, B.C., and is known to police, also allegedly made lewd sexual remarks to the little girl while riding on the SkyTrain on Saturday, Feb. 2. He then directed several comments at the girl that Transit Police described as "extremely vulgar and sexual in nature, including detailing sexual acts he wanted to engage in." At one point the suspect allegedly reached out and touched the girl's buttocks. The suspect has been released on a promise-to-appear order, with conditions he not contact the victim or family, that he not ride SkyTrain, and abstain from alcohol.
