NewsA suspect who was attempting to sell fake gold pieces and fake gems has been apprehended by officers of the Uhana Police based on a tip-off. The suspect was arrested on Sunday (29) afternoon. Police Media Unit said officers found 335 gold painted fake gold pieces, two ancient looking brass lamps, a mortar used to grind betel, two swallow's nests, 8.369 kilograms of Sandlewood and stones resembling gem stones from the suspect's possession. The suspect is a 35-year-resident of Bokkabedda. Further investigations are being conducted by the Uhana Police.
