Reports further suggested that Azeem is a prime accused in various terror attacks including the killing of SSP Chaudhry Aslam, 2002 assassination of American-Israeli journalist Daniel Pearl and the assassination of Maulana Izharul Haq Jhangvi. Officials arrested another terror suspect, Anwar, who belonged to the militant Islamic State (IS) group. He is an accused in the Peshawar Daewoo Terminal attack and is also suspected of murdering three police officials.
