It has been confirmed that two of those firearms are stolen service pistols issued to officers of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Inspector Jalal Uddin of the Detective Branch or DB was fatally shot early on Tuesday during a raid in Mirpur. A senior DB officer told bdnews24.com that they suspect the shootout victim to be Hasan. Jalal fell off the cornice when the criminals hurled bricks, said the DB officer, who asked not to be named. “Three pistols were found at the scene of shooting and two of them are stolen service pistols of Sergeants Rashid and Rana.”
