Salipodin Pasandalan, 56, was accompanied by relatives and two lawyers to police on Sunday night, according to Chief Supt. Rasco said Pasandalan surrendered after he saw his picture on television as one of the two suspects in the bombing incident in front of South Seas Mall on New Year’s Eve. Pasandalan denied his involvement in the crime and told police that he was just a frequent visitor at the mall. Rasco said, however, that CCTV footage showed Pasandalan covering the younger suspect who was placing an improvised explosive device (IED) in front of the mall.
