The suspect, Shah Alam, from the same village, was arrested from Jhenaidah’s Maheshpur area on Thursday. Learning of the matter, the girl’s family admitted her to Jibannagar Upazila Health Complex. She was later transferred to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital as her condition worsened. The suspect went into hiding after the incident, and was later arrested from Jhenaidah and sent to court.”
