My local hardware store was closed on Sunday, closed on Monday as always, and closed on Tuesday to make up for missing the Monday civic holiday. My local kitchen store doesn’t open until 12, closes on Mondays and the staff go out repeatedly. I do not see how anyone with children, not living in the 15-minute neighbourhood recommended by Jane Jacobs, could have had a reasonably functional lockdown without Amazon. The problem is that you can block people on Twitter so they can’t read you but tragically you’re still able to read them, which defeats the purpose. But there is no polite way to ask people to block you because you can’t stand them.
