On March 21, law enforcement officials identified the suspected Austin bomber as Mark Anthony Conditt of Pflugerville, Tex. Mark Anthony Conditt blew himself up early Wednesday as authorities closed in on him, bringing a grisly end to a manhunt. On Wednesday, FBI officials searched Conditt’s home for clues about the attacks as they advised Austin residents to remain wary. Conditt attended Austin Community College between 2010 and 2012 but did not graduate, according to the school. Greg Abbott (R) said officials tied Conditt to the explosions first by his cellphone — which they detected was at the bombing sites.
